Tantan is home!

Yesterday we picked up Tantan from our breeder and she's home!
Day 2
She's getting it, we think! Over the night, she has peed into her potty pad in the crate two(!) times, such a good girl! She still doesn't know to go back to the crate on her own, which means that there are accidents here and there, but overall it's good, looking forward to her progress later today.
We're still trying to figure out morning routine, she went to bed a bit past 11pm the day before, and woke us up a bit past 6am, which is fantastic for such a small puppy like her. After finding her used the potty pad properly, we gave her a bit of reward food (left from yesterday), some play time, and cleaned up the pad for her. We put her back to the crate after 7am hoping for her to sleep a bit more (so we can catch up some sleep...), but that may not have been a good idea – she started to whine (almost bark?) just past 8am. My thinking is that she was expecting a proper meal & higher intensity play when she wakes up, and us trying to put her back to sleep was confusing. We will continue to explore what's the best schedule before & after her sleep in the coming days.
In the evening, Tantan unlocked the ability to sleep while sitting on my lap! @ym was jealous – she even hasn't had the privilege yet. Sorry but Tantan is so fluffy right now 🥹, it will be your turn soon!

When the night came, I witnessed something extraordinary: Tantan got tired and walked back to her open crate and started 😴 off! I was working on my desk and @ym was away doing something else, so this is truly her cute little dog mind understanding picking up the routine. (Impossible to know if she truly knows our intention but it's good enough)
Day 1
Her first night with us is not too bad! After playing around a bit, went back to her crate before 1am, woke us up around 3 am, and then it's morning. She did not use the potty pad on her own, understandable. My pet (no pun intended) is that she doesn't like the metal grill on our potty pad, every time she steps onto it, I can sense her hesitance.

Throughout the day, she has learned food = good (:O), and she's loving the Hill's over whatever dry food our breeders were giving to her. Having food as an incentive makes everything much easier!
During play time, we observed that our apartment's marble floor is too slippery for her, she would run around but slide / having her legs split, we will get a mat for her, which should also help with sitting training down the road.
